Traffigo
Less Waiting, More Learning
An intelligent GPS-based app for traffic management and student pickup coordination, built to reduce school congestion in South Jakarta.
The Problem
Pickup lines cause real congestion at the gate
When drivers arrive at school campuses, students are not always ready and waiting. That gap, however small it seems, causes cars to idle and queue right at the school gates. It's a real, documented issue in South Jakarta — severe enough in scale that it has drawn attention from local government due to the congestion it causes around schools during pickup hours.
This isn't a road-capacity problem. It's a coordination problem — drivers, security, and students simply don't know when to act.
What is Traffigo
One notification loop connecting drivers, security, and students
Traffigo is a mobile-based intelligent traffic management and student pickup coordination system. It uses GPS tracking and geofencing to connect drivers, security staff, and students in a single, shared notification loop.
When a driver enters a 1.5 km radius of the school, the system notifies security and the student — so the student can walk to the gate before the driver arrives, cutting out idle waiting time and the last-minute scramble.
How It Works
Two apps, built for the people who need them
Traffigo serves drivers and security / "car callers." Traffigo Student lets students track their own driver.
Driver
- Signs in to the Traffigo app
- Sees the live route to school on a map, powered by the Google Maps API
- Gets estimated time and distance to arrival
- Presses Start Pickup to begin tracking
- Marks the pickup complete on arrival
Car Caller / Security
- Sees a live list of students who have not yet been picked up
- Views each student's driver name and license plate
- Gets notified as drivers enter the geofence
- Confirms each pickup once it happens
Students get a "driver is nearby" notification through Traffigo Student, so they can be at the gate right on time — no more guessing, no more waiting.
